A society comes under NGO and one can register society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. Therefore, It is vital to know the legal compliance of society registration to successfully register the Society name.

When it comes to choosing the name of the Society. The Emblems Act, 1950 prohibits the usage of any symbols, name, and official stamp as described in the Act. The name, designation, address of the administrator, managing director, committee member, council, or any other relevant regulating authority that determine the conduct code and instructions of Society and its management affairs and responsibilities

A printed copy of the social laws, terms, rules, conditions, and regulations. The copy must be authorized by at least three members of the regulating entity. And it must be submitted with MOA.

Society’s President/ Secretary must enclose Affidavit of Rs. 10/- Non-Judicial Stamp Paper related to the connection between members to the Memorandum. The affidavit must mention the point that if the Society name matches in government records with another society. The change of the name is the subject of the matter

Rs. 50/- registration fee will be demanded when the formalities are complete .After that, the Registrar of the Societies will approve the grant of registration.

ID proof including Voter ID, Ration card, driving license, or Pan card of all associated stakeholders needs to be submitted.

After submitting all the documents and registration applications to the Registrar’s office, it is essential to pay the registration fees.
